The WiseGeek LGBTQ+ Awareness Scholarship is a $500 scholarship open to students that identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community.
About the Scholarship
“Equality means more than passing laws. The struggle is really won in the hearts and minds of the community, where it really counts.” - Barbara Gittings
Across the United States, far too many people in the LGBTQ+ community are denied human rights, robbed of big opportunities, and ridiculed solely because of their identity.
Combatting civil rights issues that the LGBTQ+ community face regularly requires providing distinct and unique opportunities for people to grow and flourish.
The WiseGeek LGBTQ+ Awareness Scholarship exists to support the dreams and aspirations of LGBTQ+ youth across the country. The scholarship is open to students who identify as a member of this community.
